RateMyAgent Agent of the Year Awards 2020 – 3 months to go!

The countdown has started for RateMyAgent Agent of the Year Awards, the real estate industry’s most anticipated awards.

When we placed the call out to register your interest for the awards, we did not expect to receive the amount of interest that we did. We were completely blown away – a true testament to the value agents place on the real estate industry’s most anticipated awards, RateMyAgent’s Agent of the Year Awards.

RateMyAgent exists to promote and support great agents in their local community. The Agent of the Year Awards recognises agents and agencies who have been the most consistently recommended by the people that matter – customers who have sold their property (or leased in the case of the property management awards) in the last 12 months.

In 2020, you can take home an award in the following categories:

  • Rising Star
    (National)
  • Agent of the Year
    (National / State / City / Suburb)
  • Agency of the Year
    (National / State / City / Suburb)
  • Agency Network of the Year

To put yourself and your agency in contention for a 2020 award, you needed to collect reviews for properties sold and managed throughout the 2019 calendar year.

Winning an award is not based on just volume. To have any chance of winning, you also need to aim for a high RMA Score: that is, the number of positive vendor reviews as a percentage of overall sales numbers, and in the case of property management, it’s the number of positive landlord reviews as a percentage of overall properties managed.

The higher your RMA score, the greater likelihood of you winning an award. With a greater emphasis placed on the overall client experience and satisfaction as opposed to sales volume, means collecting your reviews is vital.

For example, if you sell 10 properties and receive 8 positive vendor reviews, your RMA Score will be 80% … but if you sell 20 properties and receive 12 positive vendor reviews, your RMA Score will be just 60%. And the RMA Score is one of the main determinants of winning in 2020.

The review deadline (11:59pm Sunday 5 January 2020) has now passed. Thereafter, we’ll be verifying and auditing all reviews, with state nominees announced Monday 13 January 2020.

If this is how your clients feel after closing a sale, you might be on your way to Agent of the Year glory!

Good luck and we hope to see you at the awards!
