Kaye made a number of suggestions on how to better present our house (including rearranging some of the furniture), all in a very positive and tactful way, and used her extensive market knowledge to set an asking price considerably higher than we had anticipated. She also had the courage to follow her instincts and hold an 'open' the same day the house was listed (on a Wednesday) and a second the following day which resulted in a signed contract of sale only 54 hours after the listing went 'live' (yes, only two days!) and at a figure considerably higher again than the asking price. Kaye is a skilled communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates a remarkable ability to identify which enquirers are serious and which are not and focus her efforts accordingly. If you choose Kaye as your agent - and you should - I have two pieces of advice. Firstly, listen to her suggestions and, secondly, act on them as far as is possible. For example, Kaye told us to 'declutter' so we hired a lockup and shifted a lot of our stuff thereby making the house more attractive. Equally, when Kaye said she wanted to hold an 'open' the same day the listing went live we scoffed - after all, who would have had time to see it? - but we did and the results show that Kaye knows exactly what she is doing.
