David Choy knows the properties he sells. In a short time, he told us everything we needed to know about a few properties he showed us. He was available to answer any questions and was very keen to support. He made the stressful property purchase process fairly smooth. His enthusiastic support continued well after purchase of the property as well. I highly recommend David Choy and will not hesitate to purchase another property through him.
We decided to place the property on auction though it was initially suggested by the agent putting the property on EOI. Though David Choy was in contact with us and provided updates, a few incidents after the auction were disappointing and displeasing. He directed us to sign sections in contract immediately after the auction, by misguiding us to amend points in the contract to get a refund on the land tax proportionately. We blindly believed in what he told us and signed the box where he told us to do. At settlement, my solicitor asked the reason for amending the contract. That is when we realised that David misguided us by making us tick the box in the contract. We had to pay the land tax in full; else we should only be paying a proportionate amount. Based on the post-auction incidents, I question whether David protects the vendors' interest. I also forced to question his integrity and ponder his motive behind doing this. We are very disappointed and we are regretting even now for giving the opportunity to David to sell our property. I would not select David Choy or McGrath as my agent in the future and would warn others to be careful when signing any documents with David Choy.
