RateMyAgent 2018 Agent of the Year Awards – Part of RMAOpen 2018
UPDATE: The RateMyAgent 2018 Agent of the Year Award winners have been announced. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees!
We’re excited to let you know that our annual awards are back. Winners will be announced at the cocktail awards evening at RMAOpen 2018 on February 22, 2018 – so you’ve got plenty of time to get your reviews in before the deadline. Buy your tickets the RMAOpen here.
These are the only industry awards which recognise agents and agencies who have been the most consistently recommended by the people that matter – vendors who have sold their property in the 2017.
“You’ve got plenty of time to get your seller reviews in before the deadline of January 7, 2018”
To be in the running to win a 2018 title you need to get your 2017 reviews locked in from your vendors and smash Spring and Summer sales. You’ll have until January 7, 2018, to collect seller recommendations for any sales completed in 2017.
The deadline for receiving 2017 reviews
This year we’re letting you know early. The deadline for all your 2017 reviews to be collected is 12 pm-midnight, January 7, 2018 (AEDT).
How do you win Agent of the Year 2018?
The RateMyAgent 2018 Agent of the Year Awards will be calculated by overlaying the following three metrics:
| 1. | Your RMA Score (seller reviews divided by properties sold). You should be receiving these in your weekly Monday emails. (Not receiving these? click here.) | |
| 2. | Total number of properties sold | |
| 3. | Total sales value of property sold |

(Tim Heavyside – Agent of the Year Winner 2017)
This makes things more balanced. Agents who have fewer sales at a higher price, or agents who have multiple sales at a lower price, are put on a more even playing field.

The key to taking out the national, state, city, suburb, or one of the new titles (see all awards categories here) is to aim for an RMA Score of 100% success rate in receiving seller recommendations.

Each review an agent requests on RateMyAgent is linked to a property transaction. If an agent sells 100 houses, but only has 10 reviews, then they only have a 10% success rate. But, if an agent sells 50 houses and had 40 reviews, then the success rate would be 80%. And 80% will place you nearer to one of the Agent of the Year titles.
The RateMyAgent 2018 Agent of the Year Awards are the only awards in Australia, which recognise agents on a suburb level and have a specific focus on customer satisfaction.
What are the minimum requirements for an award category?
To be eligible for an awards at either the country, state, city or suburb level, you or your agency must have sold at least 5 properties and collected at least 5 vendor reviews unique to a sold property within the area throughout 2017.
How to enter?
All registered agents and agencies with a claimed RateMyAgent profile are automatically entered to the 2018 RateMyAgent Agent of the Year Awards.
