As first home buyers the entire process seemed very daunting. We had a very ordinary experience with another mortgage broker who got our names wrong on emails, got the fee amounts incorrect, included stamp duty despite us being exempt from it etc. We were recommended Jonathon by a colleague who had worked with him. After an initial phone call and then a few emails where Jonathon clearly explained exactly what information he required from us, he set up a face to face appointment. After a chat and a coffee Jonathon got down to the finer details of helping us select a lender. He explained the pros and cons of each provider with no real bias to any of them, only suggesting why a particular lender might suit our specific needs best. Once we had agreed on the lender our loan was pre approved very quickly. During our property search he remained in contact with us and each time we found a potential property I reached out to him for advice and he helped me make decisions. When we eventually found a property we wanted to make an offer on, Jonathon was in Fiji on a family holiday. But that didn’t stop him calling me to ask questions about the property and the agents selling it and guide me through the offer process. Once our offer was accepted, he called again several times (I think once while in a pool with his kids) to ensure I fully understood the next steps and make sure I was comfortable with everything as it’s quite a stressful period. If that’s not dedication to a client then i don’t know what is! He and his team were incredibly professional, yet still very personal from start to finish and I can’t recommend them highly enough and will continue to use them for future purchases. Jonathan's knowledge of the loan process from the initial interview with him to settlement is 2nd to none. He has a lot of experience in the loan industry and has developed relationships in the local area with lawyers/conveyancers and real estate agents which assisted me throughout the extensive loan process. Jonathan was able to give me very good advice with the choice between a multitude of lenders. He explained the advantages and disadvantages between the different loans on offer. Jonathan was open and transparent with the fees that he is paid from different lenders and guided me to the best loan for me and my circumstances. His customer service is excellent. Jonathan returns texts and emails straight away. In a stressful situation, he remains calm and reassuring. I have no hesitation in recommending Jonathan.
