I purchased my first home through Elders Home Loans under the First Home Owner Deposit Scheme, which allowed me to make a 5% deposit without having to pay Lenders Mortgage Insurance. My loan application was supported by 5% deposit that I funded by liquidating a prior investment. Initially, the bank didn't regard this cash flow as a legitimate saving under its lending policy. Over the course of a week Katrina and Jocelyn liaised with the bank, and even met with it face-to-face, to advocate on my behalf and demonstrate to the bank that my deposit was the result of genuine savings. I know they poured their heart and soul into getting my application approved but it also demonstrates that their business intelligence, wisdom and etiquette is held in high regard by lenders. Timing is everything when you want to buy a home and any and all delays were kept to an absolute minimum. I found them to always be accurate, conscientious, and timely in responding to my queries. Jocelyn and Katrina removed the stress and uncertainty of buying my first home and it would have been almost impossible to do it alone.
