Leon is an experienced mortgage broker and finance professional with more than 20 years’ experience across banking, lending and financial services. He began his career with ANZ and went on to hold senior roles with organisations including CBA, NAB, Macquarie, St James, Stratton, and Sterling & Freeman before moving into mortgage broking.
Based in Melbourne and working with clients Australia-wide, Leon is passionate about helping people make confident financial decisions and achieve both their immediate and longer-term goals. He works with clients at all stages of life, from first home buyers and families looking to refinance, through to experienced property investors seeking more sophisticated lending structures.
Leon specialises in structuring home and investment lending, refinancing existing debt, accessing equity and developing lending strategies tailored to each client’s individual circumstances and objectives. His extensive banking and credit experience gives him a strong understanding of lender policy, credit assessment and the importance of structuring and presenting an application correctly from the outset.
Known for his personalised service, responsiveness and attention to detail, Leon has built strong long-term relationships with clients, banks and specialist lenders. His focus goes beyond simply arranging finance — he takes the time to understand each client’s broader goals and works to put lending structures in place that support both their current needs and future plans.
Throughout his career, Leon has received a number of industry awards and accolades in recognition of his performance and commitment to client service. He holds qualifications in Mortgage Broking and Financial Planning, as well as Tier 2 General Insurance, and is a member of the Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA) and the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA).
Outside of finance, Leon is an accomplished drag racer and world record holder, reflecting the same drive, discipline and competitive spirit he brings to his professional life. He is also a passionate Formula 1 enthusiast and, as a former cricketer, remains a keen follower of the game.
