We intitial met with Peter in April to discuss our lending options. We discussed the 5 percent government deposit guarantee, which was going to be indexed at the end of 2025. Peter gave as a very good indication of what we could borrow, potential deposits and associated stamp duty costs. In late August, we contacted Peter as the indexation date for the deposit scheme had been brought forward to October 1st. We had another consult mid September and submitted documentation for pre approval. We eventually got our offer accepted late September. Unfortunately, the original lender was overexposed in the complex we intended to buy in. The good news is that Stephen Guest escalated and application through CBA, which was approved within 24 hours! Through each step of the process, Peter, Katrina and Stephen have been with us. Katrina was very helpful when I was struggling with the loan docs!
