The soils are mostly grey sandy loams and some buckshot gravel. The water is supplied from an equipped solar powered bore at 200-220 gallons per hour supplied to a 10,000 concrete tank. There are 6 dams on the property. An unequipped well is also on the block. Annual rainfall is 400-450 mm average per year. FARMING: The property has been cropped mainly as a livestock and fodder enterprise. Oasts, Moby barley and lupins have been the mainstay over recent years. Fertilizer history is 80kg of DAP on the cereal crops with copper. There is a lime program in place with the second round of 1 tonne per acre currently been worked on. 100 kg of plain super has been put on the lupin crops as well. 1 tonne of gypsum has been added on paddock 6 and some other heavier ground. Pasture improvement has clovers being sown. LOCATION: 'Chillamurra' is located 2 kilometers north of Wanilla and 36 kilometers north west of Port Lincoln i the reliable area of Lower Eyre Peninsula. It is also only 30 kilometres from the holiday township of Coffin Bay and 31 kilometers south of Cummins. Silos are located at Port Lincoln which has deep port facilities. Port Lincoln is a regional city of 16,000 residents and has all services and shopping.
