Overview
"Topview" A Gracious Private Acreage Retreat With Spectacular Ocean & Hinterland Views...
Revealed to the market for the first time in over 30 years by the original owner, this spectacular acreage sanctuary is steeped with craftsmanship and quality. Perched at the crest of Mons, this private estate has been curated to relish in ultimate privacy and an escape of generous proportion with spectacular uninterrupted ocean views across the Sunshine Coasts southern coastline.
Privately nestled away from the street, a meandering bitumen driveway elevates to the home through established tranquil landscape revealing a distinctive architectural residence of artisan design and attention to detail.
The home sits with presence on the surrounding level grassed lawns with decades spent by the current owner to create the land and gardens that surround the home.
The architect designed the home with consideration for the Queensland climate, resulting in an irreplaceable expansive 770sqm residence embracing a seamless indoor outdoor cohesion with a central light and breeze pavilion connecting the zones of the home.
Upon entry, the detail and craftsmanship is evident of construction from the past, with Halidan Sandstone brickwork and rare timbers throughout. The entrance hall is adorned with Hoop Pine walls and a Meranti staircase with a central light well void.
Upstairs are two distinct wings, the living and entertainment wing and the bedroom wing. The living wing is an enormous open plan 100sqm space incorporating New Guinea Hardwood walls and frame with exposed rafters and a sandstone fireplace, perfectly anchored to the corner where there are sweeping ocean views from Point Cartwright across to Caloundra & Moreton Island.
There are oversized zones and spaces that offer a sense of space but also intimacy in the tasteful placement of furnishings. Genuine Rose Gum timbers compliment the farmers style kitchen with Western Red Cedar sash windows and doors throughout.
There are wrap around decks to capture the views of the ocean in peaceful privacy set on over two acres of low maintenance established grounds. The main entertainers deck is enormous for the largest of parties, events and gatherings featuring a sandstone barbecue.
The deck flows seamlessly onto the level grassed backyard that leads to the 22m resort style concrete in-ground pool.
The deck and the entrance pavilion connect the bedroom wing that features four bedrooms with built-ins. The primary suite flows directly on to the deck and features a walk-in robe and ensuite. There is also the laundry with Glasshouse Mountain Views and the main bathroom with soaking tub.
Returning to the downstairs level, there is a large billiards or rumpus room, a further two bedrooms and bathroom as well as a double garage with Sandstone wine cellar and additional carport.
One of the homes unique attributes is the enormous studio with office. The studio features internal access as well as external access and an extraction fan. This space has unlimited options for the artist within or simply a work from home space.
This private Homestead is a custom designed one off residence that will leave you in awe, feeling as though you are on a permanent vacation at a Spicers Retreat.
