There's a version of the Gold Coast lifestyle that doesn't involve crowds, traffic or compromise. It involves well-kept streets, homes that people take pride in, neighbours who actually stay, and the kind of space that lets a family breathe. When I pulled up to number 24, it had all of that. Beckington Terrace has a real neighbourhood feel that you notice immediately, and this home sits right at the heart of it.
Out front, a well-maintained garden with established palms and considered plantings sets the tone. It's tidy, it's welcoming, and as I'd come to learn walking through, it's a pretty accurate preview of how the rest of the property has been looked after.
INSIDE
Through the front door and into a tiled entry, the floor plan gives you options immediately. To the right, a separate office sits off the double garage with its own entry. Genuinely useful if you work from home or just want a dedicated space that isn't in the middle of everything else. To the left, the master bedroom waits with a full ensuite and open walk-in robe.
Moving through the entry, I stepped into a light-filled dining and living area dressed in new carpet. Large windows on both sides bring in east and west sun throughout the day, and from here you already have pool views. It feels open because it is.
Keep going and the home opens up further into what I kept calling the heart of the house. The kitchen and second living area is where this home really shows its best self. A large L-shaped Caesar stone bench top anchors the kitchen, with a new cooktop, Asko self-cleaning oven, dish drawer dishwasher, self-closing drawers and more storage than you'll know what to do with. Brand new blinds run throughout, and the large Fujitsu split system keeps the whole space comfortable year round.
What I love about this part of the home is how naturally it spills outside. A large timber deck sits next to the pool, partially sheltered by a Balinese hut that earns its keep on a hot Gold Coast afternoon. The decks have been stained and sealed, the pool surround has been fully refurbished, and the pool itself is saltwater. It's the kind of backyard setup that becomes part of the daily routine rather than just a feature for inspection day.
THE BEDROOMS
Branching off the kitchen and living area, four bedrooms are each well-positioned within the floor plan. One stands out with a wall of windows that pulls in serious natural light. All secondary bedrooms have built-in storage. A galley-style laundry connects directly to the side corridor of the home, keeping the practical side of life discreetly out of the way. Both side entries carry the wrought iron gate detail seen throughout the estate, and it gives the whole property a cohesion that is rare at this price point.
THE LOCATION
Mudgeeraba is one of those suburbs I genuinely enjoy sending buyers to. Quiet enough that kids still ride bikes in the street, close enough to the hinterland that the Scenic Rim feels like a weekend option rather than a day trip, and connected enough that Robina Town Centre and Varsity Lakes train station are five minutes away when you need them. On a Saturday morning, the Mudgeeraba Farmers Market shows you exactly what kind of community this place has built over the years. People arrive thinking they'll stay for a few years. They tend not to leave.
