I was born quietly among the gum trees, long before the laughter of families echoed through my halls. Back then, Echidna Court was little more than a peaceful pocket of land, where the bush whispered and kangaroos moved gently through the grass at dusk.
I sit proudly on just over an acre of Greenbank earth, watching the seasons roll across my 4,067 square metres of open sky and breathing space.
Mornings arrive softly here. The sun stretches across my windows, warming my rooms while magpies sing from the tall trees nearby. I have watched children run across the yard, dogs chase shadows, and families gather around tables inside me, sharing stories late into the night.
I was built to hold life, all of it. With my many bedrooms and generous spaces, I have sheltered celebrations, quiet moments, and dreams of what comes next. Every wall carries memories, laughter that lingers long after the lights go out.
Outside, the land is part of my soul. The breeze moves through the trees, and the stillness of Greenbank reminds those who live here that life does not have to rush. Here, the world slows down.
Over the last 25 years I have welcomed different families, each leaving a small piece of themselves within me. I keep their stories carefully, layered beneath the timber, brick and earth that hold me together.
And now I wait again.
For new footsteps on the driveway.
For new voices in my rooms.
For another chapter to begin.
Because I am more than just a house.
