Overview

Peacock Hill

A Hunter Valley icon and landmark, Peacock Hill, in the heart of Hunter Valley Wine Country sits on one of the most elevated parcels in Wine Country with spectacular views and an exceptional vineyard. This boutique parcel of 20 acres offers a substantial home, two bedroom guest accommodation, cellar door, Manager's Residence, a massive underground storage cellar, a machinery shed, 20Kw solar power and park-like grounds with huge shady Jacarandas and Peppercorn trees and a tennis court. The main residence offers generous living spaces including a games room with full size snooker table, a first floor formal dining room with wrap-around verandas, an amazing commercial grade kitchen with stainless and stone tops, an atrium as well as oversized bedrooms and a home office. Adjoining is a two bedroom, two bathroom guest lodge and cellar door from which a very successful high-end wine business has previously operated. In addition, a Manager's Residence was constructed more recently and was designed for easy conversion into a restaurant or cellar door (stca). It offers breathtaking views over the surrounding vineyards as well as a huge underground temperature controlled wine storage cellar. Predominantly planted in 1968, the vineyard on the property spans a manageable fully irrigated 12 acres and has a 14meg PID allocation with some of the Hunter's best examples of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Shiraz and Chardonnay. Approximately 2acres is vacant in the front paddock and suitable for further planting or development. A rare offering, additional information is available on request.
