It is also serviced by a community health centre, pharmacy, police station, the Bruny Island District School, and a number of local parks. The tourist hot spots Get Shucked, Bruny Island Cheese, and the Bruny Island Chocolate Co. are within 15-20 minutes' drive and it's a great spot to base yourself if you are a keen hiker as Bruny Island offers many stunning day walks.
