The owners' original brief was to craft an entirely bespoke and immensely private family home inside their unique 3,983m2, encompassing a curation of fascinating spaces that would maximise the view of the 300-year-old surrounding forest. Versatility was a major focus for Gilbert and team, who intimately collaborated with the owners through the design phase to create one of Australia's most distinguishing architectural achievements, which was completed in late 2023 by specialised firm, Merlin Constructions.
Panissou's 404m2 floor plan includes a plethora of flexible spaces, enabling a melange of work, play, rest, and creativity. Every corner is crafted with boutique materials to an unparalleled standard by the Merlin team, who undertook 15 months of specialised construction on site.
