Overview

"Bonny Bank" - Established 1869 - First Time Offered to the Public

The offering of "Bonny Bank" creates a rare and unique opportunity to secure a multi-generational horticultural enterprise. Held by the Logan family for successive generations since establishment in 1869, the property located in the tightly held Tenthill Creek district of the Lockyer Valley, has been developed for highly efficient small crop and hay production. "Bonny Bank" boasts the two key ingredients for this strategic agricultural investment - Location and Water. Positioned with frontage to Mount Sylvia Road, just 14km south of Gatton, the property holds a prime position along the Tenthill Hill Creek alluvium. The location offers advantageous seasonal conditions and soil type creating a diverse production opportunity. Gatton offers all required amenities and services, and it is just 35minutes to Toowoomba or 90minutes to Brisbane. Require some respite and catch up with the locals? the Tenthill Hotel is just a short walk up the road. Irrigation water includes unmetered bore water, supplied via 6 operational bores, a 10megalitre storage dam and an additional 8ha licence from Tenthill Creek. Set up for efficiency and redundancy the irrigation system ensures water security and ongoing production. Key Features: - Exceptionally well-located - 48.87 hectares of prime irrigation country - Established irrigation development - Diversified production opportunities - Extensive storage and processing capacity - 2 well-maintained family homes In July of 1869 when he first struck a hoe into the soils of "Bonny Bank", James Logan Snr would not have envisaged that his legacy would have been carried forward within the family for 157 years. Present Logan family members have made the decision to follow a new path and offer this opportunity to the next custodians.
