Overview

Killarney, Dundee, New England Region NSW

Situated 28 km north of Glen Innes, in the famed New England region of NSW, the property of "Killarney" offers a high level of production with key lifestyle benefits. Being conservatively stocked with 200 Angus breeders allows the absentee owners to manage the property on a part time basis. Whilst this allows the property to provide profit to the owners it also provides a very private and highly scenic escape to them as well. Located in a central, elevated, position and capitalising on views over a huge spring fed dam is a neat 3-bedroom cottage. This residence is solar powered and features polished floors and a wide, shady, verandah with extensive views over the water to the surrounding open hills. Further structural improvements include a machinery shed, sheep yard, and modern cattle yards that are equipped with a full vet crush and calf cradle. A reticulated water system sees water pumped to a 25000 litre galvanized tank and then gravity fed to a network of 10 troughs. This system combined with 15 reliable catchment dams provides clean water options to livestock on a year-round basis. An extensive fertilizer history has allowed the current owner to turn off heavy weight weaners to local markets and may be suitable for either breeding or fattening programs. Located within easy freight distance to major feedlots, saleyards, and abattoirs allows profits to be maximised through minimal costs. "Killarney" has provided profits, relaxation, and enjoyment to its current owners however the decision, whilst not made easily, has been made to sell.
