Overview

Native Forest with Rivulet

Consisting of 27 acres (11.02ha) of tall native forest with a rivulet boundary and access from the Huon Highway opens up many possibilities for this parcel of land. The topography is mostly level from the Highway which offers around 130m frontage allowing for a choice of where to form your access, subject to council approvals (stca). Power is also located along the main road entry point. Flowing mostly all year round, Creekton Rivulet is a real feature, with just over 500m forming the northern boundary of the property. Another tributary runs through the property, Jacksons Creek, coming down from the higher part of the property at the southern end. There is plenty of water here and with a rainfall of around 1500mm per year, the vegetation is lush and diverse. There are many varieties to discover from tall gums to ferns and Blackwoods. This is a nature escape waiting to be enjoyed depending on what your dream is. Zoned 'Rural' makes it possible to do many things (stca). This zoning is the most flexible with many development opportunities labelled discretionary at council and very few applications for development not approved. Maybe create a secluded getaway for yourself along the rivulet surrounded by towering gums. Maybe set up a small business with the Highway frontage with stall to sell your product/produce at a roadside stall for the passing locals and tourists. The area down here is known as some of the purest air quality in the world. This is the gateway to the great wilderness of the South West of Tassie, just waiting for you to explore. Just up the road is Dover. Here you will find an IGA supermarket, doctors surgery, pharmacy, bank, bottle shop and cafés to name a few. The coast at dover is a spectacular sheltered bay with white sandy beaches and views across to South Bruny Island. South of the property is Southport and the greater far south offering more practically endless boating and hiking options. Please contact us for more information or to arrange a viewing on site.
