Very Brief history 1839 - plan notes that the allotment was being used as a brickyard while an 1842 plan shows a building on the site which had been granted to David Hildyard. In the same year, Hildyard is recorded living in a brick house in Gordon Street. It has been indicated that the building was later used as a hotel and this may be the source of the "Plough & Harrow Inn" named with David Hildyard being recorded as having held a publicans license at some stage. In the 1860s one character who frightened locals by his appearance was Samuel Isles, licensed Inn Keepers of many inns Gordon Highlander, Pembroke and the Royal. 1910 - A federation residence was built on the North side (separate to original). 1933 - The south side buildings was demolished making access to the rear of the building. 1987 - The owner today purchased the property from the Townsends.
