This is a large Freehold vacant block located in Menindee. It is largely level though as the street has not yet been developed, the natural lay of the land remains.
This small Far West town is roughly an hour drive from Broken Hill and is home to an oasis of large inland saltwater lakes. Kinchega National Park and the variety of expansive lake systems show plentiful fish and birdlife to make this location reminiscent of Kakadu - though in the Southern NSW desert area. Despite somewhat arid surrounds, bush scrub as well as full sized trees grow in this location. Water is so plentiful in this remote area that small and large scale commercial farming occurs.
The block faces nostalgic historical rail monuments across the street that are unlikely to be used for future building. The land has no other developments on either side or behind at current or planned as far as I am aware. Roughly 300 metres walking will take you to the very peaceful riverside where you can fish and where there is a park bench and barbeque facilities separate from the main areas in town. This private and quiet location is a short 5-10 minute walk/2 minute drive to the well presented small town center which provides all basic services such as a pub, stores, petrol etc. Menindee may be a little removed from the regular tourist trail despite its natural wonder, though is a popular holiday location and water recreation area for locals who reside in surrounding towns - wherever you travel in the Far West, locals fondly recall beautiful memories of boating on the lakes.
A new power pole has been installed at the front of the block though water is yet to be connected.
Due to its low pricing, this property is for sale by the Owner.
