Arched.Window is not just a home; you walk into a love story! Together, heritage builder Brad and landscape/style artist Anneka spent years designing and slow-building this dream home, in keeping with the original limestone cottage that was built in 1898. It features only natural materials, like wood and stone and has a deck overlooking a spectacular garden with many trees, including a hundred year old olive tree. With its many deciduous trees and its north facing design the house is shady in summer, while in winter the sun streams in.
It brings all the charm of recycled materials, featuring doors and windows from a Fremantle chapel and a convent and Baltic pine brought over on settler's boats. People regularly ask to get married here or do photoshoots. When you ascend the handcrafted stairs it feels like you arrive in another country, where everything is made of wood, with dormer windows, an ensuite bathroom and a balcony with two sets of French doors. In the back yard is another one bedroom cottage with French doors and an outdoor bath and indoor shower.
