What's around 175 MacKay Rd

16 Acres, 2 Houses, within easy reach of the city

Peaceful, private, leafy – 16 acres of lifestyle living. A property with a fabulous natural bush aspect to attract birdlife and pasture to sustain animals. Located within easy reach of the city, should you have the need, with the fishing port of San Remo just 10 mins down the road. Gently rising land with established native trees sprinkled throughout and currently home to contented cattle. An established 2/3 bedroom home, separate 3 bedroom cottage, substantial shedding, beautiful rural views (with a glimpse of the sea). Work from home should you choose, with excellent and reliable Wifi and avail of all that this area has to offer: coastal walks, beaches, rail trail, good schools and hospital nearby. The main home has two bedrooms plus office/3rd bedroom – Large master bedroom with ensuite and WIR. Spacious kitchen with open plan living, with cosy wood burning fire and Reverse cycle air conditioning. Relax on the lovely covered deck overlooking the Bass Valley and silver waters of Westernport Bay. Plus it has its own pool, which shares this view to laze around on hot summer days or evenings. The Cottage is refurbished throughout, with an east facing outdoor area overlooking the bush and green paddocks. It has open plan kitchen and living space, with wood burning stove and reverse cycle and three bedrooms which are all ensuite. Currently being run as a successful rural retreat, far away from the madding crowd on a small quiet no-through road. If you choose, you can let this continue adding regular income, without impact to the rest of the property. Could also be great accommodation for family and friends! Opposite the Cottage is a Straw Bale building which is currently used as a meditation space/ chapel. It has power and is well insulated and you could consider using it as a home office / studio- with its interesting character, it would be hard to beat as a desired workplace at home. The old Dairy (cement block construction) is located close to the main home. It is currently being used as a workshop, but has potential to become a great studio, rumpus room or indoor-outdoor living space. This is an ideal property for you to “live the good life” – put in your veggies, fruit trees, get some chooks and live the life you and your family long for. no stone left unturned

Pat has extensive knowledge and experience of the Real Estate market in this area. We really appreciated the fact that Pat saw the unique nature of our property- we felt he liked it almost as much as we do! He followed up every enquiry and was generous with his time, spending many hours showing potential buyers the entire property. We always found Pat to be respectful and professional. We appreciated the advice Pat gave us re preparing the property for sale. We also like that Pat never pressured us to drop the price so that he could get a quicker sale. He was prepared to "go the distance", ensuring that both ourselves and the new owners were happy. The only thing we would have liked, was to be kept updated (by Pat or one of his staff) a bit more, even if there was 'no news'.
