It all began with a flyer from Belle Property in my letterbox one day. My wife had passed away, and I was seriously thinking of selling the house. Normally such flyers, I confess, receive little attention. But this one, introducing Gemma Simons, seemed different, but I didn't quite know how different until I interviewed her shortly afterwards. From there, her point of different became evident. Firstly, she was genuine. I could rely on her for accurate information about the local market, and feedback that was honest and constructive. There was transparency in how she navigated the selling process. Secondly, she was imaginative. The first presentation of the house to an invited list of local residents and buyer's agents was conducted at night on the balcony with champagne and olives. It was a fitting and unique way to showcase the house. Thirdly, throughout the selling process, she was dedicated, passionate and hardworking. From direct observation, at all times she was a consummate professional with an engaging personality that inspired confidence. She also knew the value of being a team player and the people she relied on in her team knew their role and made significant contributions. In particular, Gemma's real strength was her project management skills and her network of contacts among trades that made the process of preparing the house seamless.
