A needlessly stressful experience

The only positive thing I can say about our experience selling with Darren is that he turns up to inspections. To secure his place as our agent, he vastly overvalued our apartment at $550,000, which then took a year to sell for around $140,000 less than quoted. When the offer had been accepted, he advised us to wait on giving the current tenants notice, with the consequence that their legal occupancy overlapped settlement, at which time our buyer almost walked away because the contract was for an unoccupied property. Darren then became uncontactable until the situation had been rectified by other parties and it was time to collect his commission. This unprofessionalism added another layer of stress to an already stressful situation and we are glad to put our association with Darren behind us.
