Understanding and reasonable

Application: C+E kept up good communication throughout the process and when they found out that I didn't actually want to move in as early as I said 'cause I was still paying rent at my current place for three weeks, they suggested a later start date to reduce my double-rent and ultimately the owner went along with it (full disclosure, I did offer $10/wk above asking price) Pre-signing: During the prior tenant move out and their condition report, some small defects were apparent but by the time I moved in they got tradespeople in to address it. There were surprise, odd, bonus conditions (on furniture placement, etc) added to the lease after I'd paid deposit that I'd never had before outside of uni accommodation, but I was assured these were merely guidelines and not compulsory (despite the wording), and no issues since. Move in: The property had an unusually small front access and my couch simply could not fit through it as I found out the hard way. There was a roller door at the rear but I was informed only the owner had a key, and was out of town; the realtor convinced the owner to drive to Sydney that night, and then personally helped move the couch in the next morning. Some things were missing from the property such as plugs for sinks and bath and the power cable for the NBN box, without question they agreed to purchase these things (They'll be arriving tomorrow) Ongoing: I've only been a tenant with them for 8 days now, so can't speak to what they're like ongoing (Don't know their position on annual rent raises, or issues that cost real money to fix), but both Charlie and Evelyn seem like nice people who are flexible with your circumstances. Definitely better so far than my previous experience where large issues (e.g. structural mould) were left unactioned for years, but that might be more a reflection of the owners than the agents. C+E also stay in contact far more than previous agents where your manager was just a regularly changing name on an email
