Very professional, efficient and honest

We were from Victoria and had very little contact with Balmain real estate agents. Our experience with Peter from Cobden and Hayson Balmain was friendly and professional from first meeting him. He was true to his word if he said he would get back to us later in the day, he always did and kept us updated. We felt he was honest, sensitive and reasonable in negotiations and overall, we were very happy with the outcome. Thanks also to Rosemary Chen, she was a very important and friendly link to us actually inspecting the property. We would be confident to engage Peter to buy or sell in the future. A top Agent with integrity, a rare breed!

I first met Pete about 2-3 yrs ago, whilst I was looking for a property in the Balmain/Rozelle area. I was always impressed with his professionally run open homes and non-pushy communication, plus his pro active approach during auctions (too many Agents just stand back and watch)! Unfortunately when I came to sell my Balmain property earlier this year, I fell for another Agent's false promises (a non-Cobden Agent), after giving him the property off market for a couple of weeks (he claimed to have had a high offer but could secure higher if I gave him exclusivity and we went public). Subsequently I signed with that Agent, who had my property on the market for 6 weeks, with no offers anywhere near the inflated number he'd previously provided. I pushed to understand how we could've had such a high offer, off market, then nothing.... Where was this earlier Buyer??.... Apparently they were uncontactable as they were on holiday.... for 6 weeks, I don't think so!!! Further investigation resulted in this particular Agent apparently using this same 'story' with other unsuspecting Vendors. Once they sign, he just hopes the property will sell itself! Be warned!! Anyway, I gave the property to Peter Gordon at Cobden, the staging remained identical. He instantly received offers and within 6 days of being on the market, the property was sold. The point is.... The choice of Agent is critical and I just hope that other potential Vendors out there don't fall for some "Shark Agents" BS sign up ploys! Just head straight to the guys at Cobden, they're a good crowd and will look after you. Pete and Steph are a formidable team, thoroughly professional with great communication and market knowledge. They made the sale of my property an enjoyable experience which I am so thankful for, especially after the debacle with the previous Agent. Well done Pete and the Cobden Team for a great effort! Thank you.
