What we've loved most about living here is just how easy everyday life feels. There's a fantastic mix of green space, great local amenities and transport connections, with so many of our favourite places just minutes from home. It's a location that has made family life and even those frantic "what are we going to eat tonight?" moments surprisingly easy.
Some things we love about the location
The park right across the road - perfect for a morning run or workout, while the playground has been a lifesaver for keeping our little one entertained close to home.
The railway bike trail nearby - one of our favourite spots for evening walks and a great way to get some fresh air without having to jump in the car.
Fantastic transport options - both Tottenham and Sunshine stations are close by, while bus routes on the main road are only about a two-minute walk from home.
So many everyday favourites close at hand - Saccas at Central West is a great grocery option nearby, and Highpoint is close by for shopping and dining. There are excellent medical clinics in the area, plus local bakeries like Gordon St Bakery and Swedish Baker, and great coffee from Dumbo, West48, and if you want to go a little further into Footscray, Rudimentary is a family fave. There are also multiple welcoming local libraries nearby with great programs for young families.
The sheer convenience of food options - and perhaps the least glamorous but most appreciated feature! There are loads of drive-through options nearby, which have made life so much easier when time is tight or cafes are closed and we need a late arvo coffee fix. We thoroughly recommend the drive-through bánh mì spot on Hampstead Road.
