Built by Dr Edward Davy in the 1850s this was a chemist shop, surgery and home. It was used as a hospital between the wars in the 20s and 30s before becoming a private home. The house has been in the family since 1973. Edward Davy is listed in the Australian Dictionary of Biography and is Credited by some as the inventor of the Electric Telegraph.
