What a Difference a Good Agent Makes

Last year I attempted to sell my parents' house and used an established agent in their area. Having known Michael, Joel's father since high school, I didn't want to jeopadise our long standing friendship should the whole experience end up being a bad one but unfortunately the agent I did choose was after a quick sale, not necessarily a good sale and ended up working for the buyer instead of the seller, me. After a disappointing sales campaign, offer on the house and buyers reneging on a signed contract, I withdrew the house from sale. I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth from the experience. When it came time to sell my home I asked Michael to be my agent. Michael and Joel work as a team. Compared to my past experience working with Michael and Joel was a dream. Michael and Joel were able to get a better price for my unit than the market research I had done predicted it should sell for. Michael told me Joel had a big influence in getting the buyer to raise their offer to what I finally accepted. Michael was in constant contact with me in relation to the two prospective purchasers, their offers and counter offers and giving me good feedback with Joel keeping me informed via email. From on the market to signed contract was just on two weeks while another unit in the next complex to mine went on the market months before and remains with a for sale sign out front. Friendship aside, I would highly recommend Michael and Joel Lo from Elders Central GC to anyone who seeks my opinion.
