14 Years of an amazing partnership with Carla and Elite Choice Real Estate

This is undoubtedly the saddest review I have ever written. I'm genuinely upset that my relationship with Carla is coming to an end. 14 years is a long time, and it has been such a pleasant and enjoyable experience having my property managed by her and her team. I probably would have sold this investment a decade ago if I hadn't enjoyed her company so much! Interacting with Carla—getting quotes, giving her a hard time, negotiating her fees and charges, discussing the best strategy to rent out our property, handling maintenance, and all the fun that comes with having an interstate investment—has been a joy. I purchased this property in 2008 and lived in it for a year and then rented it out for two years with another agency that went through eight property managers in nine months! When it came time to renew the management rights, I called every agent in town to ask how long they had been there and how long they planned to stay. All of them were new, except for Carla, who had moved there years earlier and said she was staying long-term with her partner in the mines. Great! We signed up for 12 months with that agency, with Carla as our property manager. To my absolute shock, we later received an email saying Carla was leaving the agency. I immediately called Carla, upset, thinking she had lied and was leaving town. To my delight, Carla explained that she was leaving only to start her own agency! "Okay then, done. I'll call you in six months when our management authority expires," I said. It has been a true pleasure to work with you, Carla, and to witness your growth into a successful business owner, community leader, wife, and mother. I've loved being part of your story and one of your very first clients! We have had many great times and some tough moments over the years, yet I wouldn't change any of it. Thank you for concluding our journey and successfully selling my property, achieving an amazing outcome that exceeded my expectations. Miss you already!
