I think we all adore the notion of owning a beach shack, for whatever the reason. Family holidays, for our own personal getaway or somewhere to live permanently on our sea change journey. This one encompasses all of the above and has hit the market seeking that next chapter. The home opens up to an open plan living space that immediately feels warm and relaxing. The centre, double sided wood heater adds to the charm in this space as well as the vista of ocean. I don't feel the shack culture has ever lost its attraction where you can relax in the simplicity and nostalgia of an era.
- a gorgeous 1951 shack of approx. 126m2, with ocean views
- on a land size of 940m2 with 2 access points at front and rear of home
- (vendors use the rear access via another road 2 doors up)
- approx. home size of 126m2
- 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom
- 25,000 litre water tank, septic sewer in good working order
- the must have double garage with power
- under house storage, 2014 solar hot water upgrade
- Separate laundry, outdoor bbq area
- Hardwired smoke detectors, heated floor in bathroom
- Gas stove and oven, lovely ocean vista while tinkering in your sun soaked kitchen
Greens beach sits on the ocean and flanked by the Narawntapu National Park. The vibe of the area is relaxed, friendly and nature abounds as well as activities such as golf, bush walks, fishing and just enjoying that more peaceful lifestyle.
The gardens are native and if you are a garden lover, plenty of room to improve and add your touch to what is already established.
The current owners have resided here and enjoyed the home for 13yrs. They are now upsizing land content so its time to move on. The rear extension to the home gives a modern addition while combining the vintage and history.
I'm told there are plenty of stories to tell of the area and the home and will impart to anyone that cares to know. Flexible settlement timeframes and vendor will rent back for a time while they build if required.
Q&A so far from the market:
1. does it have asbestos? A. i don't know that would be part of your building inspection, vendors have not revealed to me that it does have.
2. what condition is it in. A. its lovely. it has the usual maintenance that a 1950s property would have but it also has an extension and upgraded electricals, laundry, bathroom etc. so the old and the new. Its not a new home if you want that you can upgrade or build.
3. Price range. property similar have sold in more recent times ie. '26 $500 - $650k but no 2 are the same. This one is also unique in its own way.
We will present all offers.
