Dishonest and Unprofessional – A Terrible Experience as a Buyer

Rene Pompe was the selling agent for a property I recently purchased, and I can confidently say he was the most unprofessional and biased agent I’ve dealt with. As a buyer, I was repeatedly met with dishonesty, rudeness, and lack of integrity from him. He misrepresented a key permanent fixture on the property, which he later attempted to remove post-final inspection—quietly and without disclosure—something that is not only unethical but potentially illegal. When questioned, he became evasive, stopped responding, and later turned rude and dismissive. His blatant seller bias and lack of respect for buyers made an exciting milestone deeply stressful. I would never recommend Rene to anyone. If you're buying, beware—you deserve better.

Great experience

I have bought and sold houses with Rene now for 5-6 years with outstanding results. Rene is always great with communication, he gives great advice to both vendor and buyers. My last sale with Rene was how you would say a difficult one. Renee had to deal with a very difficult buyer whose demands were quite rude and abrupt and didn’t treat myself or Rene with much respect. Through out the experience, Rene stayed positive and professional with the rude and obnoxious buyer and made my sale a lot less stressful. Could not recommend Rene enough, his professionalism, great expertise and character make buying and selling a great experience. Thanks heaps First National and Rene Pompe.
