Best Property Managers We've Had

I've been a landlord for thirteen years now, with six rental properties in different cities around Australia. I can genuinely say that Andrew, Ella and the team at Harcourts are head and shoulders above any other property manager I've worked with. I appointed Harcourts to look after my Carlingford property in March of 2024. I'd had the property with a different manager for the previous ten years. After the previous manager sent me an inspection report saying that the unit was in "OK condition", but supplied photographs showing grafitti on the walls, chewing gum and cigarette burns on the carpets and other general disrepair, I asked Andrew to take over management of the property. He inherited a total mess but managed it superbly and kept me informed every step of the way. To cut a long story short, Harcourts represented me at the tenancy tribunal to refute a series of false claims from my old tenant, arranged tradesmen to fix the unit up, re-leased it in a very short period of time and secured a higher rent. I had more contact from Harcourts in the first month of them managing the property than I did in the previous ten years under the old manager. They are straight on to any issue, are proactive in managing the unit and provide a level of service that I've never experienced with any other agent across my other properties. Since then, Andrew and Ella have kept in regular contact and do an excellent job of managing the property. I can't recommend them highly enough. If you own a property in the Carlingford area, you owe it to yourself to talk to Harcourts.

Lack of professional consistency and poor management

My experience with Harcourts Exclusive regarding a new lease has been disappointing. The process was hindered by poor management and a significant lack of professional consistency. I found communication difficult, as instructions shifted based on personal opinions rather than structured agency guidelines. This lack of clear, professional oversight made the leasing process much more stressful than it needed to be.
