Midlands Make-Over

Have you been inspired by television renovation shows such as 'House Rules' and/or 'The Block' and thought that could be possible? 8 Johnston Street in the historical Midlands hamlet of Parattah would be your opportunity to undertake your very own 'House Rules' make-over at an entry level price bracket. Constructed in 1920; this weatherboard character home is currently rented by a long-term tenant for $125 per week (privately managed) and offered the following features: - Three spacious bedrooms. - Separate kitchen with plenty of storage space. - Spacious lounge which is warmed by a Saxon enclosed woodfire. - Ample amount off-street parking. - Double garage. - Garden shed. This property is set on a fully fenced 840 sqm allotment along a quiet street of Parattah with a rural aspect. The property is connected to two above ground water storage tanks and septic sewerage. Established in 1876; Parattah was a thriving railway township; but now is a close-knit community of around 100 residents. With strong ties to the timber, agricultural and railway industries; Parattah has a number of historic buildings which have been restored by a number of local residents. Only 8km (8minutes) south of the Southern Midlands hub of Oatlands (along the Tunnack Road); Parattah is an ideal location to enjoy the quiet rural lifestyle. 8 Johnston Street does need some 'T.L.C; but could be an ideal opportunity for the first-time buyer or entry level investor into the property market into the beautiful Southern Midlands of Tasmania. Seller's review

Nick was very down to earth, easy to deal with and very professional.

Nick was always on call for any questions we had and was quick to answer any of our needs. He continued to communicate until the final minutes of the house selling and was easily approachable. He knew exactly what he was doing as it wasn’t on the market long! I would recommend Nick Hay @ Harcourts to anyone selling. Very happy. Nice bloke.
