Applying for rental

Perri at Harcourts was lovely to deal with, friendly, helpful and very professional. She replied to messages promptly and helped make the process as easy as possible. Having not rented for a while I did find the whole process - I applied for 8 rentals for me and my three kids - a bit scarey and very stressful in that applications are not dealt with as they come, but are screened, pooled with the landlord, and then an applicant chosen. This introduces a significant time delay in an already tight windows, meaning that I was considering interim accommodation options such as airbnb, or friends couches - very difficult, especially with children. I would suggest agents could advertise properties more in advance of contract dates, or deal with applications as they come, to improve tenant needs. I'd really recommend Perri and Harcourts though, they were great to deal with.
