The double insulation provided kept the internal ambient temperatures at an acceptable level. DURABILITY OF DESIGN kept the maintenance requirement to an absolute minimum due to the external metal screening and metal framed windows with efficient wind proofing. The final criteria were that of COMFORT . Metal clad windows that were draft proof, an efficient Wood Fire enclosed heater that heated the whole house and a building construction that kept 0ut the heaviest rain and storms, yet provided shelter from the sun in the summer months.
