•We had Emily from Image Property Aspley as our property manager for period of close to 2 years. Most of our problems experienced were during a listing campaign (really the only time our property manager had to do anything for the property to be honest!) At the end of a tenancy we were advised the property was in good condition, however on our stoping by the property we found rubbish everywhere, damaged light fittings, and verandas with caution tape on it and damaged cupboard drawers - none of which were reported to us. We were mortified to know the property was being shown to new prospective tenants in this condition without any maintenance requests sent to us. Needless to say we promptly ensured these issues were fixed so that it would not affect our chances of finding a new tenant. During the advertisement of the property we were advised to increase the listing price well above market value, which we go no interest for and the remaining 4 weeks were spend reducing the price back to only marginally above what it was originally. Our property manager Emily also communicated with us that an open home was advertised and had occurred, however no open home ever occurred as we found out when we drove past the property during the showing time as we were in the area. On requesting to speak to someone higher than our property manager we were advised to expect a call from someone from the management team (Steve), this call never came. Eventually we we changed to a new property manager from the west end office- we have had marginally better experiences with this property manager, though similar issues are starting to emerge. Overall, image property present as a company with systemically poor management and communication.
