We have had our property rented with John Matthew & Sons for just over 2 years now, first tenant they managed to secure for us was a company which we thought was excellent...however, they allowed the tenants to take down blinds without permission. The tenant also asked to get a dog which we allowed only to find out the tenant ended up getting two dogs. items from the home were thrown out, with us being advised after the fact, granted they were in a state of disrepair but we would have appreciated being told first. That tenant then moved out of the property weeks prior to their lease expiring without being made to come back and get the property back to the standard it was when they moved in so we then had to pay for maintenance at the property which we feel may have been the tenants responsibility to rectify. Have had several maintenance issues which should have been discovered upon the exit PCR that was done (which we also never got a copy of) At the moment we feel as though the property manager is working more for the tenant then they are us. Still happy to proceed to have them as our agent, they have managed to secure decent tenants for our property...we just feel like they could be paying a little more attention to detail when carrying out inspections of property.
