•Steve Crawford should be avoided, if you can. We would like to caution potential buyers of Mr Crawford. He has recently moved over to a new real estate agency in Launceston over the last month or 2. A few untruths/misconceptions/errors as examples: He listed the house which was for sale as having 2 bedrooms "with built-in robe storage". One bedroom had a built in robe, however the other, had concrete blocks stacked on the floor with loose pieces of wood with old shower curtains hanging over the concrete blocks to hide from view. This was definitely NOT a built-in robe Steve; misleading.. (I can supply photos) The Contract of sale he wanted us to sign had multiple errors and my partner felt pressured by Steve to sign before these were corrected, and, before it included both our names. The house year of construction was clearly incorrect. According to Steve, he informed us it was built in 1994. It was actually 1956, almost 40 years out. Seemingly didn’t wish to put the effort in to finding the true age of the house for us. He told us he couldn’t confirm if the water would be on, on day of Settlement, but rather deferred and said it was up to the vendor to contact TasWater. Again, not true. He just needed to turn the taps on at the property. He wouldn’t, but relented and sent another staff member to do the task. In our experience, he is reactive at best, but not proactive in any way in our dealings with him. Whenever asked a question re the house, his standard answer was “Oh, I have no idea about that!, Oh, I have no idea!” Rather than, ‘let me try to find out the answer to that simple question and get back to you’. He never greeted me on the first inspection then left 10 mins later, still without introducing himself. On a later encounter when we met, there was no smile, nor eye contact, nor polite manner. Try to not choose Mr Crawford if you’re looking for a professional and proactive and trustworthy agent. Good luck
