Decent standard of living provided without standover treatment

Renting through LJH Greystanes for 16 mths was one of my more pleasant experiences as a tenant in a rental system that has spiralled out of control due to neglect by certain govts and greed that has turned a basic human need, a home, into a cold financial commodity where that need of sanctuary has been increasingly ignored and violated, for a couple of decades now. In stark contrast to my previous LSQH agents, who quite frankly treated me horribly, a long term recommended tenant of previously 10 and 15 year tenancies elsewhere (then just 1 year with them, in a property they neglected then tried to make me liable for pre existing neglect! Then didn't renew the lease), LJH Greystanes were thankfully the opposite...offered a decently maintained place for a reasonable competitive price, showed common sense and flexibility in allowing me to install a couple of temporary removable fitments like higher fence sheets strapped to a low pool style fence/gate, and a portable carport..both of which helped it feel more like a home for me, with the shelter and privacy I needed. Unlike the previous LSQH agents who did 5 site visits in 10 mths, once on a long weekend at 6pm on a Fri night..!??!) LJH Greystanes kept it to just one, allowing me peaceful enjoyment of my home. They weren't greedy in the 1 rent rise in 16mths ($30 rise in a bubble market) , nor petty about minor wear & tear, refunding the full bond, even allowing me to return keys on a Sun when office was closed (slid under door!) They even dropped spare keys around after hours on a Friday when I accidentally lost mine, and happily gave me another spare when another key snapped. I didnt have to live in fear when LJH Greystanes were my tenancy agents, so I recommend them if you are looking for a house to rent. If it hadn't been for 1 or 2 minor billing glitches re water they would be getting a perfect 5. But certainly the closest agent to that in my 26 years of renting. I'm only leaving as I managed to buy my 1st home!
