Worst agent we’ve ever dealt with

We have sold 12 pieces of real estate, and this was our 13th purchase. We have formed some wonderful business associations with agents over the past 4 decades, with a couple developing into personal friendships. This definitely wasn’t one of them. John had no idea what was in his contract which he had us sign. We were delighted to be able to inform him within a week that we had an offer on our existing home and that we didn’t expect any hiccups with our ‘subject to sale’ purchase. We thought he’d be pleased. According to our contract to purchase our new home through John Ball, the buyers of our existing property had 30 days for their finance to be approved. We expected John to be thrilled at how fast and how successful we’d been. Instead he yelled down the phone at us, saying 30 days for finance was outrageous. His anger extended to include the agent selling our existing property. He didn’t believe the contract allowed for this 30 days. He was angry, and used the word ‘outrageous’ multiple times. He went away and checked the contract, and came back to us was an acknowledgement that he had omitted to remove this 30 day clause, but there was no apology. Our existing home sold well ahead of schedule, and we honoured our offer to purchase with settlement taking place 37 days after our offer to purchase was accepted. Apart from the absolutely necessary dealings for the settlement to take place, and for us to take ownership, there has been very little contact from John Ball since that time with the exception of this request for a review. Sadly we don’t have anything pleasant we can relate . He was awful to deal with.
