She and husband Darren own properties and their business won the Northern Territory 2012 Telstra News Limited Micro-Business Award. Marion began her real estate career with Elders in Katherine during 1994 where she won state and national sales awards within the company. Marion also won the first Real Estate Institute of NT Sales Person of the Year in 1998, and she followed that up the following year, winning the award a second time. Marion took a break from selling real estate in 2000 to concentrate on developing the couple's business interests. A move to Alice Springs in 2004 resulted in the couple establishing their own successful local businesses, together with investments in both residential and commercial property.
