Mark is there for both the vendor and the purchaser.

After looking for a number of months, I decided to pursue a property in Kariong. I met the agent for McGrath, Mark Roberts – he seemed very friendly. Although Mark was persistent, he also gave me enough breathing space in order not to feel too pressured, which is good. Mark kept me informed of the proceedings to enable me to make an informative decision about my purchase of the house in Kariong. I often think that the agent is only out for the sale, and thus is firmly on the vendor’s side (this is possibly true for some agents). However, when I was a bit uncertain, Mark kept persevering (he could easily have given up on me and pursued other interested purchasing options – I am sure there would have been others interested in this house.) Throughout his dealings, he showed support to me. For example, when I received the pest and building inspection, I was a bit concerned. After telling him of my concerns, he organised a meeting at 6pm, with himself, the builder and us to come to the house in order to go through each itemised detail. I think this was a very proactive, sincere and thoughtful thing to do. After the meeting, I felt more confident and assured that I was making the right choice. During the cooling off period, Mark kept me informed of procedures, which put my mind at ease. Even though I informed him that I was still hesitant due to whether my finances would come to fruition, he remained very positive in his communication and encouragement. At 430pm (5pm deadline), my Bank was still to confirm that I had secured the loan, he was positive and encouraging. Even though, I was late with my 10% deposit, he was calm and reassuring. I thought it was a nice touch when he sent me a text with a photo of the 'SOLD' sign. I found him to be very genuine in his approach, and one who has good communication skills. I would thoroughly recommend Mark Roberts to either sell your house or help you in your quest to be a new home owner.
