This is a smart house with lighting, watering, and music all able to be automated, controlled via an app, or used with voice activation. Natural light management has also been a strong area of design consideration, with careful selection of semi sheer and blackout curtains and Roman blinds providing a clever solution to offer privacy when needed, still allowing natural light to bathe the interior during the day whilst also maintaining quality of sleep at night. Textiles chosen are both textural and tonal, keeping a sense of warmth at all times.
Dotted around the home are pieces of bespoke timberwork all in solid American white oak, including floating shelves, windowsills, thresholds, and a truly beautiful staircase balustrade that also creates a handy storage area. The level of finish here is simply stunning.
- All new electrical and plumbing throughout the entire premises
- New gyprock plasterboard has been aluminium-battoned out to provide an air gap in the walls, allowing the house to breathe.
- Brand new kitchen with soft close doors and drawers and Blum fittings, Italian porcelain bench tops, all new appliances by Fisher and Paykel including integrated dishwasher, quality brass tapware and an induction cooktop.
- Brand new bathrooms (with double waterproofing upstairs) featuring the stunning Fragmenta porcelain tiles imported from Italy just for this project. Walk-in showers, brass fittings throughout, with the upstairs bathroom also housing a giant round bath to soak in on a lazy afternoon.
- The downstairs bathroom features a euro laundry with Miele washer and Miele heat pump dryer, tucked away and able to be hidden.
- Brand new, top of the line Daikin Xena air conditioning system in all three bedrooms and the entire downstairs area too.
