â–¶I was interested in purchasing a unit in the Scala building on the corner of Roy Street and Queens Road. The unit in question was for sale having not been sold at auction a few weeks earlier. I negotiated with Matthey regarding the purchase and found all communication to be honest, bold and direct regarding the potential purchase of the Unit. Over a 7-day period we negotiated terms and the price and achieved a fair outcome that all parties should have been satisfied with. I would recommend Matthew and his agency if you are looking to sell a property in the relevant geographic area.
My first experience on disposal of Aussie real estate and greatly appreciate Matthew handling of the sale from advice rendered on spending some money on renovation to obtain a better price . The unit had problem with very high monthly maintenance charges because the building suffered from structural problem a few years ago. Owners have to cough out lots of money to rectify the problem despite hiring lawyers to challenge the defects. This posed a problem to interested buyers for our unit. However, Matthew with his experiences managed to convince the buyer where eventually we're happy with the closing price.
