Luck of the Irish!

Picture this. Two burnt-out first home buyers, sitting at Grill'd (no smashed avos or lattes...) one afternoon. In between bites they were sifting through the MANY property brochures they'd collected over the past few weeks, succumbing to the thought that they'd be renting for life, when one of them gets a call from a number they don't recognise. "Just answer it... avoid the 11th voice message from another agent today" was the thought that crossed my mind. Little did I know, that phone call was about the be the start of an awesome experience that ultimately led myself and my partner, Jono, to buying our first home! On the other end of the call was John McCloskey and his Irish accent! We had a chat and a chuckle and eventually went through the usual 'stuff': weatherboard or brick, number of bedrooms, land size, areas we'd like to live in and the all important budget. The difference with John was that instead of finishing the conversation with the usual, "I'll let you know if I have anything that suits you", he said "Let's find you a house." And I believed him. He then told us about 33 Holland Road that would be coming on to the market in a week or so and, well, now the rest is beautiful history. Jono and I still pinch ourselves that we were able to secure such a charming and cozy home in RINGWOOD EAST of all suburbs! But it was all due to John's helpfulness and open communication. The whole process with John was so easy and he made sure we were comfortable with everything. It was clear that he had our best interests at heart, along with the owner, Lynne's. From organising the sacred sold sticker ceremony, to tea and biscuits with Lynne and even offering to help us move if we needed it. John is just a legend and has a great sense of humour too! Buying your first home is a MASSIVE milestone and John made it an experience we will never forget. Thank you John, I don't feel like this review is enough to express our how truly grateful we are!
