What's around 44 Whitewood Dr

A timeless tri-level beauty in a tranquil world of its own…with the world at its feet

Set below street level to carve out its own soul-soothing world and stand proudly elevated over the botanical 'Manoah' estate at its rear; this 3-level ode to the stone-laden homes of a bygone era takes its dynamic floorplan, and wraps it in a timeless facade. And it's a beautiful thing. You'll enter via the 'middle' floor, where a bevy of versatile living zones usher you toward the expansive 100sqm of timber-decked terrace that seems to hover amongst the very tree-tops that bring inquisitive koalas to your doorstep. With black stone benchtops, brand new De Longhi appliances and plenty of storage, the kitchen epitomises the home's superior functionality and will step up to the plate when its time to entertain a crowd. Craving a little luxury and privacy? The upper level - featuring a walk-in robe, modern ensuite and a bedroom with some 37sqm of room to move and a private terrace balcony - was made just for you. Just like the lower floor was made for independence-craving teens or another generation of the family thanks to its bedroom/converted cellar, large living zone, private external access to a fenced garden, toilet and a laundry that's an oven away from being a fully-fledged kitchenette. Just a pause from the Crafers interchange and 10 minutes from the Tollgate, what feels like a world away is simply far from it. And it's a beautiful thing. - Enviably placed on a peaceful road, below street level to create complete privacy - A wonderfully built home, created over several stages - Fenced yard - Ultra-flexible floorplan with four bedrooms and a bevy of casual and formal zones - Ducted R/C, multiple split systems and a cosy open fireplace - Dishwasher - Large main bathroom and updated ensuite - Off-street parking for multiple cars - Multiple timber-decked patios for flexibility in the way you relax and entertain outdoors (over 100sqm of decking) - Beautifully presented established gardens - Less than 20 minutes from the CBD - A short drive from Stirling Village CT Reference - 5322/841 Council - Adelaide Hills Council Rates - $3186.10 pa SA Water Rates - $74.20 pq Emergency Services Levy - $220.10 pa Land Size - 1870m² approx. Untrustworthy

Whilst we were not obliged to take Jackies advice, the purpose of engaging a good agent is to ensure that you have expert guidance and representation in your best interest. Jackie is concerned only with her own interests - which is not necessarily selling your home for the best possible price. Jackie declined offers on our property without our knowledge or consent. She disregarded our (warranted) concerns about the initial contract, advised us to extend the finance clause whilst failing to disclose that the purchasers finance application was unsuccessful, then she pressured us into signing a mutual termination agreement without having official confirmation that the finance had been declined. However it was the advice that we accepted from Jackie that cost us the most. Jackie advised us to renovate our kitchen, paint our house, re-carpet the bedrooms, move out and have the house professionally staged - all prior to selling. She assured us we would quadruple our investment. Whilst her strategy sounded good, she had one strategy - sell it quickly. This resulted in us paying (on top of the expected outlay for renovations) 2 mortgages, plus regular garden upkeep, maintenance and travel costs, for 6 months when the initial contract fell through. We then had to decide whether to extend the professional staging contract (at additional cost) over the Christmas period when everyone is on holidays, or accept an offer lower than multiple previous offers made for our property. Since the initial contract fell through, Jackie has not communicated with us, instead delegating her husband or another agent to communicate with us and attend open inspections. She had one strategy and no backup plan when her initial strategy fell through. Working with Jackie to sell was an incredibly stressful experience. I do not recommend it.
