This beautiful little red cottage is renovated and ready to go!
She's a really lovely feeling 1950's weatherboard cottage with beautiful rear views of rolling hills & paddocks. Open plan feel but with a proper overhang at the front door (with long covered porch area) & a proper hallway entrance. The 2 bedrooms are at the front of the property & the open plan living at the rear. Access to the separate bathroom & laundry flow from both the bedroom & the living space which means the huge master bedroom feels like an ensuite. The second bedroom is really spacious too, with original hardwood floor boards. Kitchen is U shaped with a window above the sink which looks over paddocks & bushland. The kitchen has ample room for a breakfast bar, table & chairs, fridge freezer & wood burner too. The back door leads to a brand new mini deck which is undercover, a good place to kick off the boots & relax after a day in the garden. The bathroom has 2 windows & one of them looks out from a feature bath tub. It's a lovely lovely cottage with down lights throughout & a fresh feel all over. Rugs on the hardwood kitchen floors look fabulous & can really be a way to change the look of your décor with ease.
Gas hot water, fully rewired & fully insulated too. Just needs paint 🎨 so it's ready for you to put your own style on her.
Herrick as an area, is a quiet retreat for anyone wishing to live close to Derby for mountain bike trails & tomahawk for beach & fishing. It's 62km to bay of fires/St Helens too, a very picturesque drive to the coast in either direction.
Positives are; cheap rates, town water supply & a flat block with lots of scope for chook shed/raised veggie beds are in/orchard area. Only negative is it's Telstra only out there for your phone, however an Optus tower has just been put up close to derby (at Telita) so this should improve things enormously once it's in commission). Telstra is on 2/3 bars so perfectly useable but could put you off if you're used to high speed internet for example.
