Unprofessional handover from a family listing

While the paperwork for our property purchase was processed, the actual handover experience was incredibly disappointing. The apartment was left in an unacceptable, uncleaned condition, and we discovered several issues upon moving in that should have been disclosed during the sales process. What made this particularly frustrating was that the agent had a direct personal connection to the property (it belonged to his mother). Given that familiarity, he should have known the property’s true condition and ensured it was handed over to a professional standard. Instead, we were left to deal with the mess and the undisclosed faults immediately after settlement. Would not recommend.
