About Matthew

It was by chance that Matthew Chilcott entered the real estate industry in 1999. Having represented the ACT, Victoria Country, NSW and the Northern Territory in football, which included games against Brisbane and Port Adelaide, a chronic back injury forced a change of direction into the property market at the age of 27. "At the time I thought it was the end of the world as, after leaving school at 15, football was all I had done and all I knew anything about. In hindsight, the bad back has been the biggest blessing in disguise" Matthew explains. Having begun his real estate career in the high-intensity Jenman system, Matthew then worked for Stewart & White in Wyndham Street, Shepparton until an opportunity arose to purchase Crosby Real Estate in 2003 which was owned and operated by the late Rowland Crosby. The name was changed to Chilcott Real Estate the same year and has grown into a 3 office network it is today. We have recently rebranded to Barry Plant and are thrilled to be part of this successful 75+ office network and have access to first-class technology and training to help us continue to provide the very best for our clients. The 2 offices we have in the Goulburn Valley complement each other with the Shepparton office being the largest in regards to staff, sales and property management, and the Nagambie branch sitting in a town that is in the top 10 hot spots for property in Victoria, with many city and holiday buyers pushing the market. Fantastic Agent

I cannot recommend Will highly enough! After previously listing with another well known local realtor who failed to meet our expectations and left me sceptical of listing a second time, Will was a fantastic surprise. Not only was he proactive and knowledgeable in his approach to the market, he was also an all round nice guy to deal with. He communicated with us every step of the way to ensure everyone was on the same page and made a stressful situation so much more manageable. When our property flooded during the sale period, Will put on his boots and helped clean debris from the fences to ensure it would be presentable for the next inspection.
